3 Steps to package your Skills as a Brand & transform your presence!

You think you know but you have no idea… what you really look like that is.
The mirror isn’t the only thing that reflects who you are…

There’s so much more to you than what you look like…
and it affects how people perceive & receive you. That and all you create & do.

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty of packaging your skills & experiences in a way that transforms your presence.
So the work you continue to put into your transformation will help you get the results you want.

1. Start outside however don’t let that keep you from moving deep within.

Once you begin to see the change, it’s easier to envision yourself BEing the change. I’m not talking about random visualization - I’m talking about allowing yourself to become acquainted with the thought that change IS possible. Perception is everything and if you don’t address how you PERCEIVE yourself you’ll never let yourself get started.

We discount our value & ability to market ourselves because we’re looking at ourselves from a very limited perspective. In order to see yourself clearly, you must take everything about who you are in from all perspectives. You also have to do it in a way that isn’t biased or limited to what you think is wrong about you. No one is perfect… and perfectionism is a defense mechanism like my fave Mel Robbins once said. Assuming you have to have it all together is an attempt to protect yourself from judgement & rejection. It doesn’t work…

However, knowing what is valuable about you, & your experiences, will cause you to hold your head higher and charge accordingly.

You have to take inventory of all your experiences, your background, your community, the lessons you’ve learned and more then combine them with the knowledge you have that can help people YOU identify with.
This is what leads to transforming your presence as a leader in your community - the by product is serving people authentically and building a larger connected community. It is also what helps you to scale your message as a brand and accumulate wealth with the products & services you create & charge people for. That enables you to invest back into the community & background that gave you those lessons and experiences to begin with. It all comes full circle; online, offline & on camera.

2. Understand where you stand so you know where to move & go next.

Understanding where you currently are can make getting where you want to be clearer AND faster. 

We learn, create and grow in stages and one stage will usually never come before the other. In the rare cases that you skip a stage, you risk missing out on a critical piece of development, instruction or preparation for the next stage you find yourself in. Never take any lesson for granted…

For perspective: When I depend on my GPS to get me somewhere, I always begin by putting in my current location. It has to take stock of all the data and info surrounding where I am, so I can efficiently get to where I need to be and quickly. 

Same with your skills & presence, you must see where you are so you can move forward.

Thing is, some of us have a hard time being objective and giving ourselves constructive criticism. So we avoid it altogether and halt our learning process… which halts our growth, income & so much more. Basically what I am saying is, you struggle to see where you can improve on yo own. So, the best thing to do is to reach out to a professional aka a GPS (Guide to Personal Style & Branding) to help you make those shifts and get the results you want personally and professionally. Don’t gamble with your future, time and money trying to do everything by yourself when you can easily get help.

3. Show up uniquely & authentically… or people will make it their business not to come, ever.

Even if you are a beginner and feel like you have “nothing” to offer… you still need to show up. (This is absolutely not true and I can prove it but I digress. In fact, I did already - check out the video breakdown in the registration below to find out more)

If you’ve taken action by taking inventory of all your skills, various experiences & passions and then aligned it with the community you identify with most - you can CLEARLY see where you are valuable. You’ll see the value because you’ll be conscious of how you can help them with your services & products. How? through consulting, teaching, being a resource, role model and so much more.

Point is, you must show up & share no matter what level/stage of development you’re at. If you don’t make it your business to show up now, even for people to just watch your journey unfold, when you decide to really be present, no one will want to or be used to coming around. What's worse? Those that waited will have left. 

You can be talented, gifted and more yet nothing makes up for not showing up.

Perfect example? Lauryn Hill - I’ve been a fan of her work for years as many people still are however even with all of her fame, accolades and awards, her reputation - worse yet her image - has been tarnished because she has become known for showing up late or worse, not at all.

Transformation your image has everything to do with deciding to be present in a way that brings out the best in your community as well as you.

Your growing community wants to see you do well from start to finish so show them start to finish. The process of transformation is about finding your defaults and defeating them. All so you are polished, what you have to offer is packaged beautifully and you are ready to present yourself at your best. That way you are ready when all the opportunities you've wanted come to around begin to.
